Divya Rai is working as a Research Associate at the Delhi Policy Group (DPG). She is conducting her research on the Indo-Pacific Maritime Geo-strategies of regional and extra-regional powers and analyse the diverse regional architectures (Multilateral, Mini-laterals and Trilaterals) within the Indo-Pacific, with particular emphasis on India’s role. She holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Defence and Strategic Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Mathematics, and Defence and Strategic Studies, both of them from the Central University of Allahabad.

Prior to assuming her current role, she has previously worked with reputable think tanks; National Maritime Foundation (NMF), Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE) and Raisina House a youth led think-tank (India) as a Research Associate and Programme Executive, Research Intern, and Research Associate, respectively. Her expertise primarily orbits around the meticulous analysis of issues ranging from matters of regional and intra-regional connectivity, economic architecture, maritime security, and environmental concerns to issues of transport connectivity. She has published articles in reputed digital and print news platforms and magazines on various issues.
