3rd Japan-India Track 1.5 Dialogue on Strategic and Security Issues

The Delhi Policy Group (DPG), in collaboration with the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA), organised the 3rd India-Japan Track 1.5 Dialogue onStrategic and Security Issues in Tokyo on May 30, 2017. This closed door Dialogueis conducted under the Chatham House Rule. 34 strategic experts and officials from India and Japan participated in the event. Mr. Toshiro Iijima, Ambassador, Policy Planning and International Security Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered the keynote address. There was in-depth discussion on the Changing Global Order and Recent Developments Impacting Japan and India; Respective Relations of Japan and India with the US and the evolving US role in Asia; and Maritime Security and India-Japan Defence Cooperation, including Defence Technology and Trade.
