Amb. V.S. Sheshadri's address on "National Security" at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad

The Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad,  held a 5-day national seminar on 'National Security' for senior officers  from the IPS, IFoS, IRS, IC&CES and Defence Services from 28th June to 2nd July 2022. Dr. V.S.Seshadri, Senior Fellow at the Delhi Policy Group was invited to address the seminar on 30th June on 'Economics, Trade and National Security: Evolving linkages". The presentation by Dr.Seshadri sought to emphasise how economic security was essential for national security. It brought out the domestic efforts on the various fronts which were necessary in enhancing economic security. This had to be coupled with collaborative efforts with friendly and trusted partners.  India will also have to work towards a conducive international framework be it in relation to climate change, food security or international trade. The presentation identified challenges in all these areas and looked at possible ways forward."
