Angana Guha Roy
Angana Guha Roy did her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Presidency College. After completing a Master of Arts in International Relations from Jadavpur University, she worked as an Assistant Professor in colleges affiliated to the University of Calcutta and Kalyani University in West Bengal. She did her M. Phil in Foreign Policy with a scholarship from the Ministry of External Affairs, India. Her M.Phil dissertation was on "Non-Conventional Threats in Indian Ocean Region".She learned elementary French, Russian and Korean as a part of her curriculum in the past. In 2013, she received the Shinan Bank Dream Foundation Scholarship from Shinan bank. She has submitted her Ph.D. thesis on " South Korea's New Asia Initiative: Search for Regional Power Status" at the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi. Presently her research interests pertain to various dimensions of International Relations theory, Geopolitics of East and Southeast Asia, Maritime Affairs, Conventional and Non- Conventional Threats. Presently she is learning Chinese to facilitate her research studies. She has published research papers and articles and has presented papers in various national and international conferences in India and abroad.
