DPG Senior Faculty attends India-Australia and India-US-Australia Track 1.5 Dialogues in Canberra

Date: October 18 - 21, 2022

The DPG Senior Faculty participated in a Track 1.5 India-Australia Dialogue held in Canberra on October 18-22, 2022.  This annual dialogue was organised in conjunction with AusCSCAP and the Australian National University.  Discussions covered the Global Strategic Environment; Developments in Asia and the Indo-Pacific; and India-Australia Relations.  The sessions were conducted under the Chatham House Rule.  
 

Track 1.5 Trilateral India-US-Australia Dialogue on Strategic  Stability and Emerging Technology in the Indo-Pacific

The DPG Senior Faculty participated in a Track 1.5 trilateral India-US-Australia dialogue held in Canberra on October 18-19, 2022.  Held in partnership with the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, Washington, D.C. and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Canberra, the dialogue was focused on Emerging Technology and Strategic Stability in the Indo-Pacific”.  Discussions on the first day encompassed Shared Challenges and Opportunities in the Indian Ocean; Deterrence Triangles and Polygons; the Role of Norms; and Global Risks that could shape the Indo-Pacific. The second days discussions covered How do we manage existing, emerging, and future capabilities”; and Specialisation within our Partnerships”.  The sessions were conducted under the Chatham House Rule.  

DPG-ASPI Informal Discussion

The DPG Senior Faculty participated in an informal Round Table Discussion with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in Canberra on October 21, 2022.  Views were exchanged in the respective strategic outlooks of India and Australia and challenges in the Indo-Pacific.  The discussion was conducted under the Chatham House Rule.
